Context
Section titled “Context”The hotel website had no functional booking module. Guests landing on the site would navigate to OTAs to complete the reservation — paying 15–25% commission on every booking.
Objective
Section titled “Objective”Implement a booking engine on the hotel website with UX comparable to OTAs: real-time availability, rate comparison, secure payment, and instant confirmation.
Results
Section titled “Results”- Direct booking share: 8% → 27% of total reservations
- OTA commission savings: $340,000 annually
- Website conversion rate increased from 1.2% to 4.8%
